Supporting Services
- Additional videographer: a second videographer provides benefits like faster preparation, more time for video before the ceremony; as well as a second camera for walking, first meeting and other events outside the ceremony and banquet. Cost is $70/hour, with a 4-hour minimum.
- Cinematic lighting: Most weddings are recorded successfully with on-camera light, but cinematic lighting can give more expression and clarity, especially if the room is not very well-lit. Add $200.
- Direct audio recording from microphones: this captures sound without the interference of noise from the hall or wind. Many weddings successfully use the camera’s microphones when there is no major sound interference indoors or outdoors. However, if clear sound is vital, add $150 for reception, or $250 for ceremony and reception.
- Additional microphone for the bride and groom at the ceremony—free of charge, available on request.
Free with All Packages: Complete Wedding Movie
Your fully edited wedding movie, with opening and closing titles, presents your Big Day from the beginning moments into the late night. It includes edited preparation shots, outdoor fun, the full ceremony, plus the most important events of the day (dances, speeches, etc.). It is captured with multiple cameras (depending on your package). This movie is usually 1 – 2.5 hours, depending on quantity of video, and delivered to you in the digital format you prefer.
HD or 4K?
While 4K is higher resolution and there is a trend towards 4K and away from HD, most weddings are filmed in HD. This is because HD is a very high quality format. It is also a very popular format used for film releases on Blu-Ray. In addition, the 4K format is not readable by all computers and players, and not all monitors can display it. So, to share videos on YouTube, or other online platforms, this is a consideration as HD is currently the more shareable option.
When choosing a format—4K or HD—you need to consider all the pros and cons and make the right choice. Contact me and I will give you all the information you need.
Extras
Wedding Highlight Video
Pricing – Depends on Package
A wedding highlight video is a 3-15 minute video highlighting the best moments of the wedding day. Choose from two styles: linear, showing the events of the day in chronological order; or non-linear with a focus on storytelling where footage and speeches are shown in an engaging way. This short highlight video is a popular choice to share with friends on social media (while immediate family and close friends may see the full-length wedding video). Think of it like a joyful movie trailer, reflecting the best moments of the day with artistic flair. The length of the highlight reel can be customized to your package.
Save the Date Video
A save-the-date video is a way to share your unique love story with wedding guests who may not know both the bride and groom as a couple. Every couple wants their wedding to be both personal and unforgettable, and a save-the-date video is the perfect way to make both of your personalities shine.
Love Story Video
Traditionally, the “Love Story” includes an interview with the couple about how they met, what they are like together, and their plans for the future. Quite often, the interview is inter-cut with romantic footage of the couple together or re-enactments of the topics they are talking about.
Marryoke
Marryoke is a music video, filmed during the Big Day with the bride and groom, and their guests. Once filmed, the footage is edited together so it appears that the participants are performing the song themselves. Marryoke could be filmed on the Wedding Day then presented later for newlyweds or/and on social media. In Marryoke, participants mime and perform a song of their choice. The word “Marryoke” is a play on the word “karaoke” due to the similarity; however, a marryoke involves no actual singing from the participants, as the singing is lip synced to the original music artist during editing. Marryoke has become a popular form of wedding entertainment which is fun for guests.
Additional Cinematic Wedding Movie (10 – 20 min)
Interviews on the Wedding Day
Gimbal/Stabilizer (for all footage)
Gimbal/Stabilizer (for preparation and outdoor footage)
About Gimbal/Stabilizer art: In most instances, we film by holding the camera with hands only– and it’s good quality video. If the videographer stands, using the zoom in/out feature, you will have great, stable video. If the shots require movement, then the video will be a little bit “shaky.”
However, by putting the camera on a Gimbal device, this gives a more cinematic effect. The effect produced by the flying camera is very smooth and beautiful. This includes panning, as well as moving in and out of the scenes– everything will look like real cinematic movement.
